Court House Ceremony

I provide this ceremony for those who are needing something quick, those who are just wanting something short, sweet and simple and those who may not have the time or budget for something more formal. This ceremony only takes 5 minutes or so and includes exchange of vows and exchange of rings. Space limits the number of guest to 8 to 10 unless you are willing to do the ceremony outside.

You can obtain your marriage license the same day at the Mercer County Courthouse or bring a valid marriage license from any other county in West Virginia.

Rehearsal
$100.00
The rehearsal is the time to go over all the logistics of your ceremony with you and your wedding party to make sure that everything goes smoothly on your wedding day. If you don't have a professional director/coordinator, it is normally best that I attend the rehearsal and I will be happy to direct the rehearsal for you at no additional charge.
If you are using a professional wedding director/coordinator it might not be necessary for me to attend the rehearsal, but I will be happy to attend if you and your director/coordinator would like me to. I will be happy to discuss your situation with you before you decide whether or not you will need me to attend the rehearsal.
Travel Expense
I do change a travel fee for any ceremony that is an hour or more drive.

I don't charge a travel fee to make extra money, I only charge the fee to cover my time and the expenses of traveling to an event. I do provide a free, no obligation consultation and I will be happy to provide you with an exact quote at that time.

Lodging
Lodging may be required for my wife and I if...
(1) your venue is outside the Princeton area and you require our services for the rehearsal or
(2) your venue is more than 3 hours away.

If lodging is require I wave the rehearsal fee.
Use of Vacation Time
I work for the Mercer County Assessor's Office Monday through Friday from 8:30 till 4:30.
If I have to use vacation time from work to accommodate the schedule of a rehearsal or ceremony there will be an additional charge of $50.00
